Avoid Obesity With HCG

Weight loss is fairly new to society but obesity is not. As years pass obesity statistics rise more and more. In recent years, portion size, preservatives and fast foods have really jumped to the top of the list of daily intake in most people diets. This may be because of lack of time with a busy schedule, being lazy or just not knowing the facts. All of which can be changed. Avoid obesity with these tips.

Food Knowledge Helps Fight Obesity

It is so very important to know about your food; most importantly you want to know proper serving sizes. The first step of weight loss is decreasing calories in places you do not need them such as liquid calories and condiments. Cutting out soda or sugary juices will help you know better when you are actually hungry and not just dehydrated- which is commonly confused with hunger. This has a huge impact on obesity. Getting 8 glasses of water a day will help your metabolism, will assure you stay hydrated, it will keep you full longer as well has great effects on your skin! A healthy meal will consist of protein, about 3.5-4 ounces weighed raw. Vegetables will be your largest portion; it should be one large handful (1-2 cups depending on the vegetable type). Carbohydrates and starches are ½ a cup cooked. This will include things like oatmeal, pasta and rice. Bread items should only be about the size of your palm, ½ to 1 slice of bread is a serving.  Getting familiar with a food chart, just as we studied as children is advised. It is never too late to change your habits and pass them down for a healthier future!

Obesity in Children

The percentage of children and adolescents who are overweight and obese is now higher than ever before. Poor dietary habits and inactivity are reported to contribute to the increase of obesity in youth.
Today’s youth are considered the most inactive generation in history caused in part by reductions in school physical education programs, unavailable or unsafe community recreational facilities, and electronics in the home such as computers and video gaming systems. 9 million children and adolescents 6-19 are overweight.

Reducing the obesity epidemic needs to start in your own home! Begin with balanced meals and keep the sugars and starches to a minimum. Find a diet that works with your family, the HCG diet is strict but will help you lose weight quickly. Children learn eating habits from people around them, if you choose a healthy life style naturally so will your children! Keeping fruits and vegetables cut for quick snacks will keep you and your children from wanting processed items. The next step is to encourage physical activity, playing in the yard or taking your children to the park will allow for fun exercise. Keep the indoor activities for evenings and days with bad weather!
