What is CLA?
CLA is short for Conjugated Linoleic Acid. CLA is a naturally occurring trans fatty acid made from omega-6 essential fatty acids and is a family of at least 28 isomers of linoleic acid, which is typically found in meat and dairy products. CLA is used to help reduce body fat and aid in increased lean muscle mass. Due to changes in how our foods are processed and farmed, there has been approximately an 80% reduction in CLA in the foods we take in.
