HCG on a Pregnancy Test – What are the Results?

We are asked if HCG will product a positive test result on a pregnancy test, often. It is common for people to believe that because HCG is a pregnancy hormone that it will cause a false-positive on a pregnancy test. To answer the question, simply, it is not true.

The reason Homeopathic HCG drops will not show a positive on a pregnancy test is because of the way homeopathic products are produced. They function on the theory of “like heals like” and that a very small amount of the active ingredient brings about change. True homeopathic products, when tested in a lab, will come back negative for the active ingredient because the amount is so small it can’t be measured in lab tests.

How Homeopathic HCG on a Pregnancy Test Works

Homeopathic HCG is produced by taking pure full strength HCG and making it into a sublingual mixture through a process of dilution and succession. True homeopathic products, when tested in a typical lab, will come back negative for the active ingredient because the ingredient actually exists as a unique energy signature or imprint in the carrier liquid that cannot be measured chemically. This is also the reason homeopathic HCG drops will not show positive on a pregnancy test. It is important to realize that physical elements interact and affect each other in more ways than just chemically.

HCG on a Pregnancy Test does not Determine Quality

Although there are many HCG diet scams out there, keep in mind that testing your HCG on a pregnancy test will not tell you if the HCG you purchased is bad. Our HCG will come back negative on a pregnancy, but we have helped over 100,000 people achieve weight loss goals in the past few years. Please do not determine the quality based upon HCG on a pregnancy test.

I am on my third week of the age HCG injections I took a pregnancy test because I’m late on my period And it came back positive I took 2 pregnancy test is it possible that the HCG injection made it positive please help

  2. Hi Natalie – Typically the HCG drops/injections will not provide you with a false positive because the dose of HCG is so low. I would recommend that you consult your physician.

  3. I was on the HCG drop for two months. HCG can cause Ovarian Hyper stimulation. Meaning your body will produce more egg’s then normal. With that being said on New Years my boyfriend and I “rung” in the New Year like most couples do and to our surprise we are 7 weeks pregnant…with twins. I was baffled when I found out because I am on birth control and I’m very good with taking it every day at the same time. After lots of research and talking to my doctor we determinded the HCD drops were what caused this pregnancy. So anyone taking the drops use extra procaution unless you really want a new little one…or one’s in my case.

Pretty great post. I just stumbled upon your blog and wanted to say that I have extremely enjoyed reading your blog posts. Any way I will be subscribing for ones feed and I hope you post once more soon.

  5. I was a few days late, and trying for a baby. I just took a test Wednesday, and I’m also on hCG sublingual drops. The test came back positive, but I discoveed today I am not. So, it seems that taking it is enough to make your test read positive even if you are not.

  6. Hi Steph – I have not heard of this happening w/ the Your HCG drops. Did you order from Your HCG? ~ Sadie
