When on the HCG diet, there is a strict protocol that is required in order to lose weight. The diet consists of a very specific food list including lean meats, fresh fruits, and fresh vegetables.

So what exactly is considered cheats on the HCG Diet? To put it simply, anything that is not listed on the protocol is considered a cheat. Even something that is healthy that you’d normally eat, like carrots or broccoli, can cause your body to stall due to straying from the diet. Anytime that you do stray from the diet you can expect a stall or a slower loss for at least 3-6 days. Unfortunately there is nothing that can be done to help speed this stall or slow down along. The best thing is to make sure you are drinking plenty of water and stick to the diet 100%!

A lot of customers ask if they should do an apple day if they are at a stall after cheating, but the answer is no. An apple day should only be done if you have not lost any pounds OR inches for a minimum of 4 days and are not sure of the reason why. The apple day should not be done if you stray from the diet, come upon your menstrual cycle, or not drinking enough water.

  • Proteins not allowed like turkey, venison, tuna, or salmon
  • Fruits not allowed like grapes, watermelon, or raspberries
