Shocking Obesity Statistics and How The HCG Diet Can Help

Even though many of you are regaining your health by the method of using HCG drops, obesity continues to be rising in America.

Obesity Continues to Rise in America

Obesity has plagued America in the late 21st century.  According the CDC, over 1/3 of American adults are considered obese. A goal was set by Healthy People 2010 to lower the obesity rate to 15% or less in each state. There is not a single state that has met this goal, Colorado currently has the lowest percentage with 21% of its residents considered obese, while Mississippi was the highest with 34% of its residents being considered obese. Statistics show that obesity is on the rise and the most common issue, is most people are not truthful about their weight.

Obesity is defined as a medical condition in which excess body fat has accumulated to the extent that it may have an adverse effect on health, leading to reduced life expectancy and/or increased health problems. Being obese increases the risk of health conditions and diseases including breast cancer, coronary heart disease, Type II diabetes, sleep apnea, gallbladder disease, osteoarthritis, colon cancer, hypertension, and stroke. In 2008, the CDC reported that medical costs associated with obesity were approximately $147 billion.

The percentage of children and adolescents who are obese is now higher than eve. Childhood obesity has more than tripled in the last 30 years. Poor dietary habits and inactivity are reported to contribute to the increase of obesity in youth. Today’s youth are considered the most inactive generation in history caused in part by reductions in school physical education programs, unavailable or unsafe community recreational facilities, and electronics in the home such as computers and video gaming systems. It’s believed that 9 million children and adolescents, ages 6-19, are overweight.

How To Fight Obesity

Many people try to blame obesity on the state and government, saying that fast food should have a higher tax. By taxing bad food higher, they think this will help them stray from making bad choices. Even though we are confident that the HCG diet is helping cure obesity , reducing the obesity epidemic needs to start in your own home. Begin with balanced meals, and keep sugars and starches to a minimum. Children learn eating habits from the people around them. If you choose a healthy life style naturally, so will the children around you. Keeping fruits and vegetables readily available for a quick snack will make it easier for you and the people in your household. The next step is to encourage physical activity, playing in the yard or taking your children to the park will allow for fun exercise. Keep the indoor activities for evenings and days with bad weather.

What part are you doing to help fight obesity?
