HCG Diet Science

How do you lose weight on the HCG diet?

In a recent HCG Blog post, we explained the HCG diet details.  Below, we would like to go into more detail about why you lose 1-2 pounds per day and why the 500 very low calorie diet VLCD is necessary with your weight loss.

HCG weight loss studies have shown that the weight lost with HCG and Dr. Simeons HCG diet protocol comes directly from adipose fat tissue rather than lean muscle.  In doing so, the weight lost comes directly from unhealthy fat and does not strip the body of much needed lean muscle, vitamins or minerals essential to maintain good health, while at the same time releasing excessive amounts of fat stored nutrients into the blood stream to be absorbed by the body.  For this reason, people on the HCG diet report a feeling and appearance of great health and marvel at the loss of negative health risks they had as an overweight individual.

How do the HCG diet drops work?

Homeopathic HCG drops causes your hypothalamus to mobilize the fat out of the fat storage locations so that it’s available for use.  While you are only consuming 500 calories, your hypothalamus is continually releasing the fat stored in your body.  Because of this, your body is actually operating on thousands of calories a day.  The result is your body using thousands of calories from your body each day, the reason that dieters on the HCG diet lose 1-2 pounds of fat per day.

Additional HCG diet information

Additionally, did you know that 1 pound of fat holds 3500 calories?  So if you lose 1 pound of fat per day, your body is actually utilizing an additional 3500 calories per day as energy.  Stored fat is the body’s preferred source of energy!  Because fat contains over twice the amount of calories in each gram, people who burn fat instead of carbohydrates or proteins will have twice the energy on the HCG diet!

    I don’t get it. If normal, injectable HCG triggers weight loss, then shouldn’t homepathic HCG cause weight gain?

    Here’s what I mean:

    It sounds like HCG at normal dosage causes symptoms of wasting disease. Then, by the Law of Similars, a homeopathic preparation of HCG should reverse the symptoms of wasting disease. That would mean stop the loss of body mass; build up tissues again.

    So, homeopathic HCG sounds like a product for weight lifters, bodybuilders, etc.: a great alternative to illegal steroids.

      Our product is considered homeopathic, because you are taking a low dose of actual HCG frequently throughout the day. HCG has been used to mask steroid use in professional sports, which is why it is considered an illegal substance in most major sports. Our homeopathic HCG drops do provide the same weight loss results as the HCG injections. However, since you are taking a low dose frequently, rather than a large dose all at once, you do not need a prescription. The HCG allows your body to circulate your abnormal fat for energy and nutrients when a person is pregnant. If a person is not pregnant and takes HCG along w/ the diet protocol, your body uses that abnormal fat as fuel.

    Thank you, Sadie, for your response.

    It sounds like your product, in small doses, does the exact same thing as the injectable product in a single, large dose. That is not homeopathic.

    My understanding is that homeopathy requires a series of actions:
    (1) start with a batch of something;
    (2) dilute the current batch;
    (3) give the container a good smack (“succussion”) to make the solvent (water, alcohol, etc.) lock in a “memory” of the substance being diluted;
    (4) take the resulting stuff and go back to step 2;
    (5) (implied) stop after some number of rounds.

    The final result is a preparation that is supposed to do the opposite of what the original input product did. So, a homeopathic dilution of coffee would induce sleepiness.

    If full-dose/one-time HCG helps eliminate fat, and so does your low-dose/many-times variant, then I don’t see how it can be called “homeopathic”. It bears only the most superficial resemblance to traditional homeopathy (tiny amount of substance).
